Ellie is doing wonderful! She is happy and healthy and spunky and smart! She has handled her “terrible twos” (as in age!) very nicely. She is maturing and settling – though it is a daily funny to watch her run around the house in an unprompted frenzy! Sometimes all is take is just to look at her with a semi-stern/funny face look, and then she is off running and it is playtime! She enjoyed her summer playing in her kiddie pool - loves the water! And now with the recent snow we have had, she is winter dog and likes to sit in the snow and sniff the air.
Ellie is a very smart girl, so it has been quite fun teaching her new skills! I have never had a setter that really got into the retrieving on command, more so playing with toys than retrieval. She has quickly learned how to retrieve a dumbbell on command, she is very proud when she does that! She also has learned what “slipper” is and will bring slippers to the family when asked. When we are done with that fun, I say “Great job, give me a high five!” and I put my hand out and she jumps in the air to bop my hand with her nose. She is way too fun!
As you can see in the attached picture – Ellie also enjoys family get-togethers with her favorite time being the family meal. J

2015 Hi Lenora: Jake
is loved by all, we always have people stop their cars to tell us what a
beautiful dog we have. Jake is a couch potato who loves to sleep on his
back with paws in the air. When outside Jake is the hunting dog, nose to
the ground and never hears us calling him, Jake who? really hard to get
him to come back. He is good with some dogs but not always, he can take a
dislike to some, almost staking them. Jake loves a good squeak toy but a rubber
pig that oinks is a favorite. Jake can be a fussy eater but to our surprise
loves oranges and grapefruit, Who knew. Jake is also a thief, he will
steal items from my purse or out of cupboards, he will then come to show you
which leads to his favorite game of chase me chase me. We are still
hoping to neuter him but will wait
for you're approval. This note has taken me forever to write as I am not
that good at getting pictures onto the e-mail so I hope this works. all the
